For punching processes, Officine G.S.P. uses dedicated machine tools for precision and flexibility, as required by our Customers.
Many sheet metal fabrications are rectangular in shape and their cheapest production method includes a first punching stage and a second shearing stage, with the shears at a right angle position.
To meet this requirement with precision and flexibility, Officine G.S.P. uses a combined punching/shearing machine, able to operate on a maximum work surface of 3000x1500 mm.
This machining centre is controlled and programmed by expert operators via a CAD/CAM system in parallel time, and provides the following operations:
- thread cutting, thanks to the presence of a rotating threading station;
- continuous forming;
- simple and complex forming;
- punched markings upon Customer request, visible also after surface finishing;
- shearing on standard shapes (e.g. rectangular, round and square) and custom shapes.
These processes are performed on sheet metal, which is loaded and unloaded automatically without operator intervention. More specifically, the machined parts may be unloaded and sorted to dedicated component palletization addresses based on their size and the expertise of the operator to prevent manual or repetitive operations.
